Brick & Lattice Cowl

Two colours, two textures, one cosy cowl & neck warmer.

The Brick & Lattice Cowl features a staggered tuck-stitch pattern that creates smooth brick-like shapes on one side and a textured lattice on the other. Fold it in half for extra warmth and wear either side facing out.

The pattern includes two options: worked in the round or worked flat and seamed, with written instructions for the tuck stitch, carrying yarn and finishing.

Yarn: Scheepjes Woolwise DK, 200 m per 100 g.

• Colour A: 741 Deep Grape – approximately 35 g / 70 m.

• Colour B: 708 Greige Tan – approximately 46 g / 92 m.

• Total: approximately 81 g / 162 m, plus additional yarn for a tension swatch.

Yarn quantities are based on the flat, seamed sample. Working in the round uses slightly less yarn.

Needles: 4.5 mm, or size needed to achieve gauge. Use circular needles for the version worked in the round.

Skills used: Long-tail cast-on, knitting, purling, colour changes on new rows or round only, tuck stitches and a stretchy cast-off. The flat version also requires seaming. The tuck stitch is explained in the pattern.
